The FDA informs Pharmacy healthcare personnel and consumers that a specific lot of Tylenol 8 Hour Caplets 50 Count is recalled because of complaints of a musty or moldy odor possibly caused by the chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole.

McNeil is recalling Tylenol 8 Hour caplets 50 count bottles to the retail level.

FDA’s reason for the recall is that a small number of complaints of a musty or moldy odor were reported. This is thought to be caused by the chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole. The risk of adverse medical events is remote.
The affected lot number is BCM155.
