Stephens Johnson Syndrome
Stephens Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) are life-threatening conditions. These conditions, although infrequent, severely disable or even kill previously healthy people.
The diseases are characterized by a rapidly expanding rash with flat, irregular circle type lesions that affect the skin including, and the mucous membranes (mouth, eyes, and genitals).
Over 80% of all SJS / TEN cases are caused by perscription medications.
