It is sold at flea markets, retail outlets, and via internet. The Mexican Ministry of Health ordered the manufacturer to recall Reumofan Plus and warned the public.

The FDA received reports of fatalities and severe adverse events, including stroke, high blood sugar levels and severe bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract since June 1^st, 2012 when the FDA initially informed about the recall.
