iFlora Kids Multi-Probiotic has been sold via health food stores and internet retailers and iFlora 4-Kids Power via health care professionals.

A supplier of Sedona Labs for Galactooligosaccharide (GOS) recalled the ingredient due to potential salmonella contamination. Salmonella can cause serious, and sometimes fatal, adverse events in cases of young children and people with weakened immune system. Health complications include diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare cases more severe illnesses may occur including arterial infections, arthritis and endocarditis.

As a result certain lots are recalled. The affected lots are: 1074711, 1479611, 1640811, 1734411 distributed from 3/16/2011 to 5/3/2012.
